Join us on Wednesday 4 February 2026 - World Cancer Day - for this special online lecture event: Beating Cancer Together: Innovation without boundaries. The event will showcase just some of the world-leading interdisciplinary cancer research happening right now at the University of Southampton and the Centre for Cancer Immunology.

During the evening, our experts will explain how world-class research at Southampton is improving the detection and diagnosis of cancer, and how these discoveries are being translated into patient care through clinical trials and the NHS Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad. You will learn about how research across different disciplines can combine to accelerate progress and really fuel innovative solutions.

This lecture will be held in an online format, and there will be a Q&A section where we can answer some questions from our guests who are watching live online.

Our host Mark Cragg, Professor of Experimental Cancer Biology, will be joined by Professor Simon Crabb, Professor in Experimental Cancer Therapeutics, Dr Eugen Stulz, Associate Professor in Bioorganic and Materials Chemistry, and Lara Graham, who has recently completed her PhD in Cancer Immunology.

A link to watch this online lecture will be sent one week prior to the event.
